A couple of days ago was my birthday!! and my sister got me this really cool present, my first d-slr camera its a canon 1000d. i've always wanted to take pictures that are different with a little more creativity but with a standard digital camera you are restricted with very little option.

with this baby you can do way more, but the trick is i must learn how to use it properly, so i am looking forward to taking some classes. so now i am going to leave you with a couple of experiments i did :P ( keep in mind it is my first time handling an slr ;) )

I think this time, i am going for the macbook pro what's really cool is that the macbook pro is the same as price as the macbook when it first came out so the prices are going down :)

AKHEEERAN!! now i can officially say that i am back from my summer holiday. It is 8:10 in the morning and it has only been 2 hours since i arrived, i have to say that the weather is much better than anticipated but who knows it might change by 12 noon i can see it is getting windy :P

So I have started my summer holiday a month and a half ago but i didn't go on my summer trip until a week ago. This time it is only me and my ol' folks. we started by going first to New york, for me it has been 11 years since i've been to the states, but for new york its my first time and let me tell you it was a blast i loved it, and i love the way they had their streets and avenues it was so simple to get through and the people are amazing, it is a simple life there, and easy going. To me Rehab center is the place for entertainment. When ever i wake up early and have nothing to do i would go there buy some DVD's, and browse their video game collection. I haven't used my DS for a long time now but the last time i went to Rehab center i found the R4 which is a memory card where you can download DS games in to it. i loved it, i bought the R4 with a 2gb memory card, a USB card reader, and 19 games installed for 20KD only :), i also found out that downloading the games and installing them are also easy :) YUP I'm happy i've got a bunch of games i should start :P

Today i was at "souq al mo3alim" ( i love their PJ's :P ) and i stumbled on the t-shirt above. Noor has become an obsession to a lot of people, and now it is becoming a fashion statement!! I am usually always with the stuff that are a hit at the moment but "noor" is something i can not connect with and the reason is that i once saw an episode mohanad does not like noor that much, another he is head over heals for her, another episode one girl (don't even know her name) is kidnapped, another one noor is in jail!!! hehehe i just can not keep up :P well i guess we still have a long way to go for this show to end. ( aby a3arf ishakhritaaaa :P)

FYI: i don't have anything against those who watch it (cuz i have some obsessions of my own), but don you think its getting out of hand with the shirts ?!

Yup!! The wait is over. I have been waiting for an iphone form the first day it was out, but being the person i am i decided to wait until it was out in kuwait legally with out cracking it little did i know that it was not gonna happen soon. Well now that the iphone 3g is out i am not gonna wait i will get one, and i will get the white one, but there is one little problem. i heard that for us to buy an iphone without the at&t contract we will be paying more than double the price, for an 8gb the actual price is 199$ with out a contract it's 599$, a 16 gb the actual price is 299$ with out a contract it goes up to 699$. Can you believe that?! It's not fair i was so happy that is was cheap, i knew it was to good to be true :( hopefully i will get a good price in the future.

ITALIAN FOOD!! YUMMM!!!

I started this summer with a short trip to Italy. It was so much fun considering no men were with us in this trip it was strictly my mom, sister, and my self. So, obviously this will call for one thing SHOPPING. yup, it was "shop till you drop" and we literally shopped till we dropped we will go out early morning go shopping and when we get back to the hotel we would be so exhausted but in a fun way :P

What i also realized that the food over there is amazing not only the food in restaurants but they have italian cafes all around the city with delicious food. what's weird is that they do not have any starbucks or any other cafe similar to starbucks, they rely on their traditional cafes which was really nice to see. What i did is i posted most of the pictures that i took of food during the trip to give you a glimpse of their food that made me gain weight :( but i do not regret it cuz it was yummmmmyyyy!!!!!! :)

BOOK REVIEW: TWILIGHT

At first i was hesitant about reading the book, only because it was a love story about a girl and a vampire. I love romance and love stories, but the fact that there was a vampire in the story made me think twice.

But thank god i got over it and gave it chance, it is an amazing book really really good. Only just from the very first i got hooked. The story line is amazing, there was romance, fantasy, suspense, all in one i could not put the book down.

for those of you who do not the book it is actually a series "the twilight series" twilight is the first book, then comes new moon (i am trying to find it in kuwait but n success in that :P), after that comes eclipse, and then the very latest which is not yet released is breaking dawn it is going to be released in august 2nd.

i definitely recommend this book to all the women around the world at any age, it is phenomenal.

I give it a 10/10 without a doubt :)

I am sucker when it comes to reality shows, i don't know what it is that makes me addicted to them, although i know that most of the stuff that goes on aren't that "REAL" :P But, when it comes to so you think you can dance, it's not what happens between the contestant that amuses me it is actually their talent, they really know how to dance. i first saw the show on mbc4 it really got me hooked but it started to annoy me when i realized that they air only half an episode per week. it took me three years to finally start downloading them :P now i am downloading season 4 and it makes me wish i can dance like them :( which is practically impossible since i defiantly do not have the stamina for such moves i barely can do half an hour on the gliding machine hehehe:P

anyways, back to the show here is a video of a routine they did last episode that was amazing it was talent and entertainment at the same time, enjoy!!

THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA: PRINCE CASPIAN

yesterday i went to watch Narnia at the muhalab cinema (it has been a a while since i last went there ever since the avenues opened up :P ) over all the movie was amazing, but i still think the first one was better, maybe it is because they were new to narnia and the adventure while exploring new things is usually better. anyways i highly recommend those people who like to watch sci fi and fantasy.

MY SUMMER LIST

Since i am a fresh graduate and i've got a whole lots of spare time, i thought that i must have a summer list that i should stick to (inshala) to make my time more productive. i never stuck to a planner before even when in UNI i would start a planner for the first week ( which is a very slow week) then when it starts to get chaotic i stop :P lets hope that i do stick to this LIST. It will plan my summer but no dead lines :) ( i hate deadlines they make me so nervous) .

OK now on with the list:

Read some books such as: Middlesex, the five people you meet in heaven, twilight, a thousand splendid suns, and what ever else i buy this summer.
Buy an IPHONE ( i know "tawinaaaaaaaas" its a long story i'll dedicate a post for it)
Exercise (it has been a while and i must lose some weight :P)
catch up with TV shows,prison break season 2, top chef season 4, so you think you can dance season 4, hells kitchen season 4, desperate house wives season 4
cook something delicious and blog about it.
and have lots and lots and lots of fun :)

that is all i can think about right now but this list will be updated every once and a while through out the summer.

if you have any suggestions for me go ahead and shoot em at me i am up for anything this summer cuz i am freeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!! ^_^

THE THREE MOST ADDICTIVE GAMES

These games are just meant to be played!!

My eyes are glued to the screen I just can't have enough. For those of you who has an account on facebook you just have to add them. They are three games all by PlayFish. What's cool about them is that you can challenge your friends on who is getting the highest score and believe me when i say it even if you aren't a competative person you are so gonna be after playing these games, ok enough blabbering and on with the games, ok so here are the games descending by the level of entertainment:

1- WHO HAS THE BIGGEST BRAIN?

Basically, what it does here is that you play a total of 4 mini games in order to see how smart you really are, and what's cool about it is that the score is actually a measurment of the brain (ex. 2000 cm^3) isn't that cute :)

2-BOWLING BUDDIES

Now this game has nothing ot do with brains but it sure can get you attached as much as the previous one. when I first saw it I thought that it was going to be boring cuz who can play bowling on the net it so not realistic, but I was very very wrong. You control the ball through the mouse and in order to throw it you pull back and then shove the mouse to the front and it does kinda feel like real bowling but in the comfort of your couche ;)

3-WORD CHALLENGE

This game not as much fun as the previous two but still equally addictive. Whenever I say "ok now thats gonna be the last round and I'm going to sleep, or study, or anything else that probably more productive" I find my self playing for more than 20 rounds and up to 2 more hours ( thats kind of an exaggeration :P ) What's really good about this game is that you actually learn a lot, I found out is that you can make up dozens and dozens of word from only 6 letters, its kinda like scrabble but with a time limit and puts at the edge of the seat trying to figure out words :P

So there you have it those are the gams that got me all crazy the past few days, and just to get you pumped up to try those games here are my scores:

Hello world, and welcome to my blog.

Let me start by introducing my self. I am just a random kuwaiti girl who loves to read and comment on other peoples blogs. After doing that for more than 3 years I decided to open up my own blog. The thought of opening up the blog was there since the beginning of the year, and it took me this long to actually open it up. The reason behind that was that I was in college and didn't need any more distractions. Guess what?! Now I am a graduate and I've got plenty of spare time as an unemployed woman, and I've never felt happier.

My blog here is a place where I can spill any thoughts I have about anything in the world, the sky is the limit. Basically, thats gonna include my interests, and they are:

Reading
Gadgets (mostly anything from Apple)
Some computer games
Music (mostly english but i do like arabic)
Surfing the internet
Traveling (you are going to be with me where ever I go ;) )
and of-course what's a girl gotta do without her shopping

I hope that I will be dedicated to this blog and keep you guys updated with every random thing in the world, that looks like a good start but we'll see what happens :P
